Phosphine fumigation
A cost-effective, non-tainting treatment for insects in bulk stored commodities.
Phosphine fumigation eliminates insects throughout a bulk commodity — grain, pulses, tobacco, stored produce — including the eggs and larvae inside the kernels that a surface treatment cannot reach. It leaves no taint and no residue on the commodity.
It is also genuinely dangerous work. Fumigation is carried out only by trained, licensed technicians, with the stack or structure properly sealed, the area secured and signed, and gas-monitored clearance before anybody goes back in.
