FAQ
Questions we are asked most
If the answer you need is not here, ring us — we would rather explain it properly than have you guess.
Treatments
For most jobs we can inspect within one to two working days, and sooner where there is a health risk — a snake in a building, a wasp nest over a doorway, rodents in a food premises. Ring the nearest branch and tell us what it is; we prioritise by risk, not by order of arrival.
Yes. We come out, look at the site, identify what you have and where it is coming from, and give you a written quote. There is no charge and no obligation to go ahead. If the job does not need treating, we will tell you that too.
It depends on the pest. Cockroach gel usually shows a clear drop within a week. Rodent baiting normally takes two to three weeks with return visits. Bed bugs always need a follow-up visit, because eggs already laid survive the first treatment. We will tell you the expected timeline before we start rather than after.
Safety
Treatment is planned around who uses the space. Rodenticide goes into lockable, tamper-resistant stations, never loose. In kitchens we use gels and baits rather than spraying surfaces. Where a product needs the area kept clear for a period, we tell you exactly how long before we apply it.
For most household and commercial treatments, no. Fumigation is the exception: a fumigated structure is sealed, secured and signed, and nobody goes back in until we have taken gas readings and cleared it. We will always tell you in advance what a job requires.
Yes. Our technicians are trained and receive continuous training as products and regulations change. Phosphine fumigation is carried out only by licensed fumigators — it is genuinely dangerous work and is not something anybody should attempt without that training.
Cost and cover
It depends on the pest, the size of the site and whether it is a one-off treatment or a scheduled programme. That is why the inspection is free — we would rather look at the site than guess at a price over the phone.
We work from Lilongwe and Blantyre and cover the surrounding regions from both. For sites further out, ring us and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve you properly.
Yes — we stock professional products at both branches and you are welcome to buy them over the counter. Ask us first which one suits your problem. Some jobs genuinely are better done yourself; others waste your money in products and end up needing a technician anyway, and we will say which is which.
Business clients
Yes. Commercial and industrial programmes come with a site plan showing every bait point and monitor, and a written report after each visit. That file is what answers an inspector's questions about your pest control programme.
Yes. Restaurants, shops and factories are usually treated outside operating hours, and we arrange visits around your schedule rather than ours.
